This small Berkeley bungalow had been stretched to capacity while raising children. Now with more flexibility, the clients wanted to reconsider the use of the spaces, the flow of the home, and their new daily life in their home.

We considered the daily and yearly cycles of uses for the spaces, the changes that would help them get the most out of the space, and the flow between the areas of the home. We rotated a staircase between the main floor and basement, which allowed for a more seamless use of the spaces and a greater flow between the three floors of this split level home.
