Public Furniture is lightweight, movable furniture designed to activate public spaces. The bright colors and graphic forms draws people to it and makes it easy to play with. The wheelbarrow benches help you understand that it is all made to move and change.

This version of Public Furniture was designed for a new plaza on the California College of the Arts campus. The space was empty, and the community had not yet started using the space. The furniture was developed as part of the inaugural exhibit of CCA’s Novack Gallery, “Take Action!”, and was part of the opening party for the new space.
